Online 404 Map: Size and Terrain of the Leminsgale District

The Online 404 map is a sealed-off district of roughly four square kilometres containing a town and a lot of points of interest, set among pine forest, rivers and lakes, wetlands and hills, with deer, ducks and wolves living in it. There is no official map, no coordinate list and no published points-of-interest index, and the developer has never released one. The only proper noun that has appeared in an official post is St. Bunny's Motel.

How big is the Online 404 map?

About four square kilometres, and that figure comes from the developer rather than from a guide. The April 2026 announcement describes the setting as an abandoned district roughly that size, holding a town and plenty of points of interest. It is the only size estimate that has ever been published, and it has not been revised in the announcements that followed.

Scale is the interesting part of that number. Four square kilometres is compact compared with the maps players are used to in the survival genre, and it changes what the game is asking you to do. You are not crossing a continent, you are working a district where the town, the forest and the abandoned buildings are close enough together that a repaired vehicle changes your day, and where a camp can be put almost anywhere rather than at a fixed set of sites.

The store page's own framing supports the small scale, describing a district that was cordoned off years ago and never fully evacuated, where the people who stayed behind lost their minds and now wander. A four-square-kilometre quarantine zone is the right size for that story. Nothing else about the layout, including the town's position or the distance between landmarks, has been documented.

What is the district called?

The developer calls it the Leminsgale District, and that spelling is consistent everywhere it appears. The Steam store page writes "Leminsgale District" three times in its own description, including "Restore an old car, and traveling through the Leminsgale District will become much easier." The April 2026 announcement calls it "the abandoned Leminsgale district", and the June 28 announcement says you travelled "to Leminsgale County".

County and district are the only two forms attached to the name, and both come from the same developer on the same official channels. There is no second spelling to be careful of, which is worth stating plainly because search results and forum posts for this game are full of near-misses.

What terrain and wildlife are in the district?

Official store artwork shows a consistent picture: pine forest over hills, rivers and lakes, wetlands on the flats, and open ground between the tree cover. The screenshots include deer drinking at a misty lakeshore, a duck lifting off a shallow wetland, and a white wolf standing on high ground looking out over a forested valley at night. That is the ecology the developer has chosen to show, and the store page's feature list matches it, describing wildlife you can observe, hunt, alongside farming and the possibility of adopting a pet.

The setting also explains why the rest of the world keeps running. The district is quarantined, not the planet, and the people left inside are the hazard rather than a collapsed civilisation. The developer has confirmed zombies exist in the district and teased that they turn out to be quite unusual, without going into detail, so treat the enemy picture as genuinely open. Is there a map or a list of points of interest?

Not from the developer. No map image, no coordinate list and no POI index has been published, and the only proper noun that has appeared in an official post is St. Bunny's Motel, which turns up in the sign-off of the June 2026 demo announcement. The town in the district has not been named in anything the developer has published so far either.

The one thing players can rely on is the ability to build a camp anywhere in the district, which outside coverage has confirmed, and a phone with a map on it. Beyond that, anything claiming to be a full Online 404 map should be checked against the date it was made, because the demo build is no longer available and the launch build on October 16, 2026 may differ.
